"Requiem"
“Requiem” is my musical interpretation of the much-loved poem by Robert Louis Stevenson, created as a tribute to my dad, for whom the poem has always held a special place. At 87 years old, and despite experiencing some challenges with dementia, he can still recite the poem from memory. The video begins with his own recitation before gradually transitioning into my musical interpretation, with an AI-assisted backing track supporting the arrangement. It is a deeply personal recording that brings together his voice, a treasured poem and my music across two generations.
